Oh My Eyes!!!

Assalamualaikum
Peeps ;)

So,
Past few days,
I watched Discovery Channel with my sister.

Well,
The same thing again and again,
The story about the Baby Panda that had been rescued from the earthquake in China.
Lucky him.

Wait,
It’s not the main point!
The story I wanted to share is about my eyes!
Yes!
My eyes!

When we were watching that fluffy baby panda being hugged by all those animal lovers in television,
I supposed its all fake.
Acting so lovely in television,
Hugging that fatty fluffy creature,
But neglecting the stray dogs in the streets.
Huh.
Stray dogs and Fluffy Panda.
What makes them different is that there will be no reporters coming to you if you feed the stray dogs.
Discrimination.
Typical human.

So,
Back to our topic,
My sister suddenly looked at me,
Right into my cornea.
Haha!

As her cornea hits mine,
She said ;

“Along, look at your eyes and look at that panda’s eyes..”

I looked at that panda’s eyes.
Well,
Can’t deny,
They’re cute.

So I replied to her ;

“What the cute eyes, just like mine?”
Awwww~
What a compliment!
So awkward to hear the compliments from my sister.

“No! Gosh! It’s a big nooooo!”
Cynically she replied.

“Then what?!”
My mood ruined already.

“The black circle around your eyes look the same like that panda’s eyes..”
Honestly.

Ohemji!
I wanted to kick her, literally kicking her down like what I watched in WWE.

But,
That’s not something wise to do,
I took the mirror and look at my eyes.

She’s soooooo true.
The black circle around my eyes is getting worse and worse.

What can I do?
Spend my time and money in a spa?
Getting the eyes treatment?
What a waste!

I’m so glad,
Friend of mine taught me a few ways to get rid the black circle around my eyes.

So,
Here some easy ways to have the lovely eyes!

First Way

1. Get three slices of cucumber and squeeze out it’s juice.
2. Soak the face-cotton in the cucumber juice for two minutes.
3. Place the soaked face-cotton on the area of black circle for fifteen minutes.
4. Repeat this steps for three to four days to get the maximum effect.

 Second Way

1.       Take a spoon of tomatoes’ pulp, a pinch of turmeric powder, half of spoon of lime juice, and a spoon of (kacang kuda powder)
2.       Mix all the gradients to make it a paste.
3.       Close your eyes and place it on your eyes for ½ hour.
4.       Clean it with wet face-cotton after ½ hours.
5.       Repeat this steps for a week.

Piece of Advices

Well,
If you still find it difficult to follow my few tips above,
Then watch your everyday-life routine and of course your diet intake.
An adult should have enough sleep for at least 8 hours.
Lack of sleep time may cause you get the black circle.

Besides,
Take more vegetables in your diet and control your sugar intake.
Taking more sugar than your body needs is very dangerous.
It can cause the serious diabetes and can increase the black circle around your eyes.
Taking more vegetables help you reduce toxic in your body besides it can reduce the black circle around your eyes.

Common problem

Everyday life of students sometimes weary me.
I spend more time in front of the screen to finish up the assignments given.
I believe,
This is what happen to others.

If I continue this kind of lifestyle,
May be at the age of 20 ,
I will get thousands of eyes problem like fumigation.

But thank god,
I found ways to escape from being fumigation at the age of 20.

Tips

·         After 20-30 mins in front of your laptop, rest your eyes with take a long view of something ( better the green view ) and blink your eyes for a while.
·         Try blink your eyes 12 to 15 times per minutes to avoid your eyes from drying out.
·         Make a simple eyes exercise. All you need to do is blinking your eyes for few times  and then close your eyes and spin it clockwise while taking the breath in and breath out slowly. And then open your eyes gently.
·         Scrub your hands until it kind of warm and close your eyes with your hands. This can help you rest your eyes.

Keep your heart beating

So,we all know preventing is the best option,so lets see how to prevent one of the most fatal and common disease known to mankind-------> HEART ATTACK

WHAT DO PEOPLE THINK?

The thing is,everyone knows that this is one of the common disease among heart diseases, but why oh why people don't care about it? It baffles me actually because the society thinks that the disease is only dangerous for old people and not the youth,so they do not need to worry about it until they reach 40,THEN only they start preventing and getting worried?? This is rubbish and nonsense because diseases know no boundaries, neither age nor level of society. So in our efforts to keep people aware, lets talk about Prevention of the disease known as HEART ATTACK

HOW COULD THIS,HAPPEN TO ME?

What people think our heart looks like

What it really looks like

They say action speaks louder than words,so lets watch a video about how heart attacks happen!!

 PLEASE,STOP IT!!

NOW,for the main event, how to prevent! not cure,i repeat prevent! heart attacks. There are a couple ways to prevent so we'll so from the foundation of prevention and we'll move on from there.
  1. Quit smoking

All and anything that has anything to do with tobacco is bad news for the heart. Beside heart attack, smoking is also known to cause other diseases. In addition, the nicotine in cigarette smoke makes your heart work harder by narrowing your blood vessels and increasing your heart rate and blood pressure. Carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke replaces some of the oxygen in your blood. This increases your blood pressure by forcing your heart to work harder to supply enough oxygen. Even so-called "social smoking" — smoking only while at a bar or restaurant with friends — is dangerous and increases the risk of heart disease. So smoking is confirmed as a big no no to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
  2. Exercise for 30 minutes on most days of the week

Heart attacks happen because our blood vessels become narrower due to fat accumulation in the blood vessels,so to makes these fats disappear we need to do physical activities daily and keep a healthy lifestyle.Exercise will help to burn the fat accumulated and decrease the risk of hearts attacks.Physical activity helps you control your weight and can reduce your chances of developing other conditions that may put a strain on your heart, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. It also reduces stress, which is a bonus for people that are easily stressed out.
  3.  Eat a heart-healthy diet

"You are what you eat". That is a famous statement when it comes to the medical line as most of the disease is actually the product of your diet.If you watch what you eat at the early stages of life then you can prevent heart attacks. There are several type of fats of food that you need to avoid such as saturated fat and trans fat. To avoid these type of fat then most of these common food must be avoided or reduced which is red meat, coconut and palm oil,deep-fried foods and margarines. There's also a hot tip which is to avoid these kinds of food,Look at the label for the term "partially hydrogenated" at the foot content label.
  4.  Watch the liquor

Following a heart-healthy diet also means drinking alcohol only in moderation — no more than two drinks a day for men, and one a day for women. At that moderate level, alcohol can have a protective effect on your heart. More than that becomes a health hazard. This tip is especially useful for people who drink liquor and practice that habit after every meal.
  5. Be vigilant

There is no such thing as being "too careful" when it comes to taking care of your health because your body is so fragile. High blood pressure and high cholesterol can damage your heart and blood vessels and can cause heart attacks. But without testing for them, you probably won't know whether you have these conditions. Regular screening can tell you what your numbers are and whether you need to take action. Adults should have their cholesterol measured at least once every five years starting at age 20. You may need more frequent testing if your numbers aren't optimal or if you have other risk factors for heart disease. Some children may need their blood cholesterol tested if they have a strong family history of heart disease. So constant visits to the hospital for screenings is much advised.

SO LET'S KEEP OUR HEART BEATING TO THE BEAT OF DRUMS AND STAY HEALTHY ALWAYS PEOPLE!! :)

Taking Charge of Your LOOKS!

"ARGHHH!!!" have you ever encountered a morning, when you woke up, look at the mirror and suddenly there it is, a big shiny bump on your face.

For teenagers, this situation is normal. It is called ACNE. ya, i know , a very sensitive word for teens especially girls.Am I right? So, to get a better overview about acne, let us get to know it first.

So basically, acne or pimple starts when the pores in the skin become clogged with a type of oil called sebum, which normally lubricates the skin and hair. Acne is common during puberty when hormones go into overdrive, causing the skin to overproduce sebum. Because many oil-producing glands are on the forehead, nose, and chin, this area — the T-zone — is where a person is most prone to pimples.

As people say, prevention is better than cure, so here are some tips on how to avoid them and clear them up A.S.A.P!!!! :

  • Wash your face twice a day (no more) with warm water and a mild soap made for people with acne. Gently massage your face with circular motions. Don't scrub. Overwashing and scrubbing can cause skin to become irritated. After cleansing, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends applying an over-the-counter (no prescription needed) lotion containing benzoyl peroxide. This will decrease oil and bacteria.
  • Don't pop pimples. It's tempting, but here's why you shouldn't: Popping pimples can push infected material further into the skin, leading to more swelling and redness, and even scarring. If you notice a pimple coming before a big event, like the prom, a dermatologist can often treat it for you with less risk of scarring or infection.
  • Avoid touching your face with your fingers or leaning your face on objects that collect sebum and skin residue like your phone. Touching your face can spread the bacteria that cause pores to become inflamed and irritated. To keep bacteria at bay, wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as treatment creams or makeup.
  • If you wear glasses or sunglasses, make sure you clean them frequently to keep oil from clogging the pores around your eyes and nose.
  • If you get acne on your body, try not to wear tight clothes. They don't allow skin to breathe and may cause irritation. Scarves, headbands, and caps can collect dirt and oil, too.
  • Remove your makeup before you go to sleep. When buying makeup, make sure you choose brands that say "noncomedogenic" or "nonacnegenic" on the label. Throw away old makeup that smells or looks different from when you first bought it.
  • Keep hair clean and out of your face to prevent additional dirt and oil from clogging your pores.
  • Protect your skin from the sun. It may seem like a tan masks acne, but it's only temporary. A tan may worsen your acne, not improve it. Tanning also causes damage to skin that will eventually lead to wrinkles and increase your risk of skin cancer.
So girls and guys, don't be lazy. ALERT2! Start taking care of your skin now before it gets worse. And who knows you can get a beautiful, clear and glowing skin like this:

Indeed, Prevention is Better than Cure.

Diet for college students

College life can be stressful when you are bogged down under the pressure of studies. In order to keep the mind fresh and energetic, plus to bear with the stress, we should follow a nutritious and balance diet. The food we consume must provide us with sufficient energy for performing extracurricular activities as well.

Now, I present to you the 1500 Calorie Diet!! 1500 calorie is the ideal figure for the total amount of calories that could be consumed in a day. Thus, we have to keep an account on the number of calories we consume everyday. But how can we achieve the target? Remember the simple quote that goes like this, "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper"? Let our breakfast be of 500 and lunch 400 calories. Since dinner should be light, limit it to 300 calories and the remaining 300 calories should be for snacks.

Let say we had a plate of nasi lemak and a cup of milk tea or teh susu. A regular nasi lemak already contains 400 calories and 20 calories from the teh susu. Whereas, in order to maintain the calorie intake of 400 calories for lunch, a cup of rice and a cup of fried vegetables and diced chickens are enough. Both serve approximately around 395 calories. And for dinner, simple dish like salad with light dressing or  a veggie burger topped with grilled mushroom and light mayonnaise spread and sauce should do the  trick of providing the 300 calories. As for snacks, a few slices of wholewheat breads or a cup of light vanilla yogurt is enough.

Did you know that there is an application called MyFitnessPal, where the app helps you keep your calorie count and achieve your dream weight.

For those who haven't have it, download it on your tab, IPad or phones for free!! Download it now here. We can also access the online MyFitnessPal via computer, just go here.

I came across a few tips on how to shed of weight recently online. One of them says that more sleep does help with the weight loss! OHYEAHH!!! A study showed that an hour sleep per night for a year could be translated into a 14 pound loss, but at the same time, it is shown that lack of sleep can increase appetite and cause us to be overeating. However, bear in mind, my friends, that oversleeping, where we sleep more at night AND day is, of course, can lead to other things such as heart diseases, depression and memory problems. And it is highly not recommended to sleep too much during this Holy Ramadan :)

And other ways to lose weight are by eating more vegetables and fill up your stomach on fewer calories with soups. We can have all sorts of soups (but not cream soups!), best served as appetizer or as main course as soups contain less calories than other normal regular main course dishes. And as for the vegetables, it contains water and fibers that could fill you up with lower calorie counts.

College life might be difficult for those who wish to diet and shed off a few kgs but it is simple if we follow the correct ways and plan. Things could be simple and easy if only we make it happen. So, get off your seat, grab a pen and paper, and plan your diet and make it happens, bebeh!! yeahhhh ;)

                   go on, try it :)
